June 12 - Today is the 33rd Anniversary of the First Apparition of OUR MOTHER OF THE EUCHARIST AND GRACE to my dear friend: Filipino visionary, Bro. Carmelo Villanueva Cortez who is gifted with healing and the “Miracle of Rose Petals”🌹(with various religious images) and other mystical phenomena.
Carmelo, then 21 years old, was on a private retreat on June 12, 1991 at the Consolatrix Convent in Naguilian; La Union, Philippines 🇵🇭 led by his spiritual director, + Father Virgilio Bartolome, SVD. when at about 3:00 A.M., the Blessed Virgin Mary came for the first time and gave him this message: “I am the Mother of the Eucharist and Grace…Tell everyone especially those who are lukewarm to return to the Roman Catholic Church; receive the Holy Eucharist (during Mass); go to Confession and repent from their sins and do penance. Pray the Holy Rosary; wear the Brown Scapular (of Mount Carmel) and to pray / make sacrifices for priests and religious.”
He described the Virgin as a very young girl between 16 and 18 years old; dressed with a white tunic / veil and was bathed with brilliant light. Her Immaculate Heart was visible with the Host at the center surrounded by a halo of 12 golden stars. She held a rosary on Her right hand and a brown scapular on Her left.
The Diocese of Malolos (Bulacan) has recognized the healing ministry of Bro. Carmelo and had given him permission to travel all over the Philippines and around the world. The Shrine of Our Mother of the Eucharist and Grace at Barangay San Vicente in Sta. Maria, Bulacan has also been approved as a Diocesan Marian sanctuary and is now a quasi-parish church.
Furthermore, Bro. Carmelo had private and public audiences on several occasions with Saint (Pope) John Paul II, + Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis at the Vatican.
Currently, the Church has not yet declared a judgment regarding the ‘supernatural or non-supernatural character’ of the supposed Marian apparitions and other mystical phenomena (including the rose petals with images) to Bro. Carmelo V. Cortez.
Our Mother of the Eucharist and Grace,
pray for us!
